במענה על מכתבו ממוצש"ק והפ"נ. נהניתי לקרות בו מפעולותיו בהפצת תורת חב"ד.
ומ"ש שאינו מוצא בעצמו אומץ לפעול גם בעוד חוגים... וכו', יעויין בלקוטי תורה ריש פ' ויקרא אשר בעניני תורה ומצות אדם התחתון הוא שלוחו של אדם העליון עיי"ש, ובמילא אין מובן איך שיחסר האומץ בכגון דא.
ובהתאם לזה הרי כיון שנתמנה למרצה ימשיך בזה ואדרבה ישתדל לדבר לא רק לפני הדתיים אלא גם לאלו שאינם יודעים לעת עתה שדתיים הם, וכנ"ל יש לו כחות ואומץ לפעול עליהם באופן המתאים.
לפלא שאינו מזכיר דבר ע"ד פעולות זוגתו תחי' בהחזקת היהדות ובהפצתה, ובטח ימלאו במכתבם הבא.
ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, הנני בזה להביע ברכתי לו ולכל אשר לו, ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות.

In response to your letter from Motzaei Shabbat and the pan. I was pleased to read about your activities in spreading Chabad teachings.
Regarding what you wrote about not finding within yourself the courage to also work among other groups... etc., see Likkutei Torah at the beginning of Parshat Vayikra, where it is explained that in matters of Torah and mitzvot, a person below is the agent of the person above—see there. Therefore, it is not understood how courage could be lacking in such a case.
Accordingly, since you have been appointed as a lecturer, continue with this and, on the contrary, strive to speak not only before those who are religious but also before those who do not yet know they are religious. As above, you have the abilities and courage to influence them appropriately.
It is surprising that you do not mention anything about your wife's activities in supporting and spreading Judaism; surely you will include this in your next letter.
As we approach the new year that is coming upon us and all Israel for good and blessing, I hereby express my blessing to you and all yours: may you be inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year both materially and spiritually.
