במענה על מכתבך מכ"ב אלול. נהניתי מזה שממשיכה בעבודתה בקדש לחנך ילדי ישראל על טהרת הקדש המקרב את לבם לאבינו שבשמים, וגודל הענין בזה מובן מפתגם הבעש"ט אשר אהבת הקב"ה לכל אחד ואחת מישראל היא גדולה שלא בערך מאהבת הורים לבנם יחידם שנולד אצלם לימי זקנותם ובמילא מובן מזה גם שכר אלו שזיכם השי"ת לפעול בזה.
במה שכותבת אודות הפרשותי' לצדקה, הנה כיון ששואלת אם להפריש יותר ממה שנהגה עד עתה, הרי תוסיף על המעשר שהפרישה עד עתה באופן שיהי' מעשר וחצי והחצי השני להשלים לחומש תניח הצדה ויהי' להוצאות לבושים ותכשיטים השייכים לחתונה, ויתן השי"ת אשר השנה הבע"ל תהי' אצלה שנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד בתוך כלל ישראל, ותבשר טובות בעניני'.

In response to your letter from the 22nd of Elul.
I was pleased to hear that you continue your holy work of educating the children of Israel in purity, which brings their hearts closer to our Father in Heaven. The greatness of this matter is understood from the saying of the Baal Shem Tov that G‑d's love for every single Jew is incomparably greater than parents' love for their only child born to them in their old age. From this it is also understood how great is the reward for those whom Hashem has granted the merit to be involved in this.
Regarding what you wrote about your charity contributions: since you ask whether to give more than you have until now, you should add to the maaser (tithe) you have given so far so that it becomes a maaser and a half. The second half, to complete a fifth, should be set aside for expenses related to clothing and jewelry connected with a wedding.
May Hashem grant that this coming year will be a good and sweet year for you both materially and spiritually, together with all Israel, and may you share good news in your matters.
