במענה על מכתבו מו' תמוז עם ב' נוסחאות של המצבה, הנה יכול לצרף התוארים משני הנוסחאות גם יחד, אבל לדעתי נכון ומצוי יותר שיהי' הנוסח לא בתור מדבר בעדו אלא כשלישי המדבר ובמילא יש להשמיט התיבות אבינו כו' תפארתנו, ומוחזר פה הנוסחאות.
לפלא שכדרכו גם עתה, אינו מזכיר דבר ע"ד פעולותיו במקום בו נמצא בעניני יהדות וחסידות בפרט, ואף שכבר הורגל בזה ובמילא גם אני הורגלתי בזה הנה אין זה מתקן הענין וזה כבר מזמן רב שבאה העת שבכל מקום בואו יזכור שלמד בישיבת תומכי תמימים של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר ובמילא צ"ל רישומו ניכר לא רק בר"ה ויום הכפורים וכה"ג ולא רק כשהוא נמצא בד' אמות שלו מיוחדים אלא בכל זמן ובכל מקום בואו ובהשפעה גם על הסביבה וכשרוצים באמת לעשות הנ"ל מוצאים האופנים והדרכים, וכל התירוצים בזה באים מהצד דלעו"ז כמובן.

In response to your letter from the 6th of Tammuz with two versions of the gravestone inscription, you may combine the titles from both versions. However, in my opinion, it is more correct and common for the wording not to be in the first person but rather as a third party speaking. Therefore, you should omit the words "our father," etc., "our glory," and I am returning here the versions.
It is surprising that as usual, even now, you do not mention anything about your activities regarding Judaism and Chassidus in particular in your current location. Even though you have become accustomed to this—and therefore I have also become accustomed—it does not correct the matter. It has been a long time since the time arrived that wherever you go, you should remember that you studied at Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe. Consequently, its impression should be noticeable not only on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur and similar occasions, nor only when you are within your own four cubits set aside for yourself, but at all times and wherever you go—also influencing your surroundings. When one truly wants to do this, one finds ways and means; all excuses come from the opposing side, as is obvious.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that our connection to Yeshiva should shape our conduct everywhere we go. We must let our values influence our surroundings at all times—not just on special days or in private—and seek genuine ways to make a positive impact.
