Room in Chabad for Everyone to Use Their Talents Without Infringing

The Rebbe writes that after the sin of the Tree of Knowledge, everything is a mix of good and bad, and Chassidus teaches to increase the good with joy. Every person should use their talents fully without infringing on others, and peace is the vessel for blessing.

Shalom u'Vrachah!

... Regarding practical matters, it is explained in many places in Chassidus that after the sin of the Tree of Knowledge, all things and matters are mixed with good and bad. The work according to the path of Chassidus is to engage in increasing the side of good and light, which is why this can be done with great joy (unlike the path of Mussar which emphasizes mainly turning away from evil, leading to sadness etc.). Also regarding people, one must utilize their positive qualities and talents as much as possible; then, either naturally or with slight effort, the negative aspects are nullified. The same applies to anyone participating in any work in the institution of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal—one must give every other worker the opportunity to use their talents, to awaken and encourage them so that gradually any undesirable matters are nullified even if they existed previously.

... And I have already written before that there is ample room in Kerem Chabad for everyone to find satisfaction here and a way to fully utilize their talents without touching another's imagined honor—and certainly not their true honor. The vessel that holds blessing in all these matters is peace and bringing hearts together. It is understood that I am not writing this letter as rebuke but rather only to awaken and encourage again that within every single person there are great powers that have not yet been utilized at all... for trivial reasons. When everyone throws themselves—areinwerfen—with dedication into this holy work, I am certain that after a short time they will wonder how they did not see before what is obvious: by adding strength together everyone could have increased and enhanced the work... Many times it was also accompanied by greater personal satisfaction and connection to the Tree of Life (Ilana DeChayei), as well as increased blessing in their own affairs and those of each individual and their families. It goes without saying that it is completely out of the question to distance anyone from this holy work; aside from distancing a Jew from Ilana DeChayei (the Tree of Life), it would also harm the work itself... There is no need to elaborate further on this...

With blessings.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that everyone has unique talents which should be used fully for holy work without infringing on others. By fostering unity and encouraging each person's strengths, both individual satisfaction and collective success are increased.
