Regarding what you wrote about the farbrengen for this year's Purim which falls on Erev Shabbos: Since according to Shulchan Aruch the meal must be held during the day on Friday, my intention is that the farbrengen should be held in proximity to it—that is, on Shabbos Kodesh as a continuation of Kiddush. See Mareh HaPanim to Yerushalmi, chapter 1, halachah 4.
