מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מכ' אד"ר, ולמרות שזה כ"פ עוררתיו אודות קביעות שיעורי לימוד בתורת הנגלה ובתורת החסידות. הנה בכל מכתב שכותב אינו מזכיר דבר עד"ז כ"א ע"ד ענינים גשמיים. ואף שגשמיות איש ואשה הישראלים רוחניות הם כי הרי דוקא עי"ז נעשה לו ית' דירה בתחתונים אבל עאכו"כ שהרוחניות של איש ואשה הישראלים רוחניות הם; ותקותי שאין זה אלא חסרון בכתיבה אבל לא בהפו"מ.
כבקשתו אזכירו בהיותי על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע להענינים שכותב במכתבו, ובודאי כשיהי' לו בשו"ט בזה יודיע.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 20th of Adar II, and although I have reminded you several times about establishing fixed times for studying both the revealed part of Torah (Niglah) and Chasidus, in every letter you write you do not mention anything about this, only about material matters.
Even though the material needs of a Jewish man and woman are themselves spiritual—since it is specifically through them that a dwelling place for Him, blessed be He, is made in the lower realms—how much more so is it true that the spirituality of a Jewish man and woman is spiritual. I hope this is only a lack in writing but not in actual practice.
As you requested, I will mention you when I am at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, for the matters you wrote about in your letter. Certainly, when you will have good news in this regard you will inform me.
