... Regarding your question about whether to travel to the Holy Land or to use the money to purchase a Sefer Torah. In my opinion, you should give the money to a free loan fund (Gemilus Chassadim), since in most cases the money remains whole (because only a very small percentage do not repay their loans), and this serves as an ongoing merit for the one who gives the money. There are two ways to do this: either give the money specifically to a Gemach fund in our Holy Land or simply—meaning both for Eretz HaKodesh and also for outside of it. If you wish, you can deposit the money into one of the Gemach funds found in my secretariat.
And may Hashem grant you and will grant you long and good years so that from time to time you will be able to add to this Gemach fund both from your own resources and from money that you will take for this purpose from your children and friends.
