I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 7th of Teves after a long pause, and thank you for writing, even if only briefly, about the Yud-Tes Kislev farbrengen. May it be G‑d's will that from now on you write with more detail—and most importantly, that there should be something to write about regarding actual activities. As my father-in-law, the Rebbe, would often emphasize: 'Not study is the main thing but action,' and even in Chabad teachings—which seem to be focused on thought—there is no one as wise as one with experience.

It is surprising that you are not urging the Avrech [Moreinu HaRav Yisrael Naeh] to publish in the local language some matters from Kerem Chabad. Besides being beneficial for this Avrech himself, it will certainly have an effect—even if only on a few who need Italian exclusively. And whoever saves one Jewish soul is considered as if he saved an entire world.

We do not cry over the past, but at least from now on one must strive with utmost energy in this matter. Of course, if it will be helpful you may speak to him about this also in my name—as long as it leads to action.

The pan enclosed in your letter I will read at an auspicious time at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal nbg"m zy"a.

Enclosed is a copy of the maamar delivered last year on the yahrzeit of my father-in-law, the Rebbe; surely you will share it generously to benefit many.
