נעם לי לקבל הודעה אשר ביום ח"י טבת יתמלאו לו חמש עשרה שנים, ויה"ר מהשי"ת שמבן חמש עשרה לגמרא הנה יגדל בתורת הנגלה ובתורת החסידות וע"פ מה שכתוב בספרים אשר גמר"א ר"ת ד' מלאכי המרכבה, גבריאל מיכאל רפאל אוריאל הרי יוחדר בו תכלית עבודת השי"ת להיות בבחי' מרכבה כמבואר בתניא.
בטח שמר סדרי יום הולדת בעלי' לתורה, נתינה לצדקה קודם תפלת שחרית ומנחה, ולימוד שיעור נוסף הן בתורת הנגלה והן בתורת החסידות, והשי"ת יצליחו.

I was pleased to receive notice that on the eighteenth of Teves you will turn fifteen years old. May it be the will of Hashem that from "fifteen for Gemara," you will grow in both the revealed Torah and in Chassidus. As is written in the sefarim, Gemara is an acronym for the four angels of the Merkavah: Gavriel, Micha'el, Refael, Uriel—thus, within you will be instilled the ultimate purpose of serving Hashem: to be in a state of Merkavah (chariot), as explained in Tanya.
Certainly you have kept the birthday customs: being called up to the Torah, giving tzedakah before Shacharis and Minchah prayers, and learning an additional lesson both in revealed Torah and in Chassidus. May Hashem grant you success.
