I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from Tuesday of Shoftim, even though it was very brief. Attached is the requested confirmation as you asked.

As we are now entering the month of Elul, the month of mercy, I am enclosing a sicha from Shabbos Mevarchim Elul. Although it was not delivered this year, its message applies every year and throughout the entire year—especially during the days of Elul: "Umal Hashem Es Levavcha V'es Levav Zar'echa" (And the L‑rd will circumcise your heart and the heart of your offspring)—teshuvah; "Ani L'dodi V'dodi Li" (I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine)—prayer; "VehaElokim Inah L'yado V'samti Lecha Makom Asher Yanus Shama" (And G‑d caused it to come to his hand; I will set aside for you a place to which he may flee)—Torah; and "Mishloach Manos Ish L'rei'ehu U'matanos LaEvyonim" (Sending portions one to another and gifts to the poor)—charity. As explained in my introduction to Kuntres Chai Elul 5710. Surely you will merit to share its content with many in an appropriate manner.

With blessings for a kesivah vachasimah tovah for a good year for you and your wife—certainly including proper health as well.
