...נהניתי ממה שמביט בעין יפה על המוסדות באה"ק ת"ו ומודיע ע"ד המעלות שבהם והלואי שבמשך הזמן יהיו מעלות עצמיות ולא רק מפני שמשווה לחסרונות המוסדות אשר בחו"ל. וידוע פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע עד כמה שיש להזהר בהרגש דשביעת רצון כי ע"פ רוב משתמש בזה היצה"ר ליישן ולעורר רגש של מציאות וישות כו' שבמילא מקלקל עוד, וגם במה שנעשה עד עתה, ובאמת גם ע"ז החשש הנני מוותר ובלבד שיהי' ממה להיות בשביעת רצון במדה המתאימה לרצון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר מייסד המוסדות ומנהלם...

...I was pleased to see that you look favorably upon the institutions in Eretz HaKodesh, may it be rebuilt and established, and inform about their merits. May it be that over time these will be intrinsic merits, not just by comparison to the shortcomings of institutions abroad.
It is known the saying of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe—may his merit protect us—about how careful one must be with feelings of satisfaction. Usually, the yetzer hara uses this to dull and awaken a sense of self-importance, which ultimately causes further harm—even regarding what has already been accomplished. In truth, even with this concern I am willing to forgo it, as long as there is reason for satisfaction in a manner fitting the desire of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, founder and director of these institutions...
Enclosed is the booklet just now published; surely you will use its content to benefit the many. May Hashem turn these days into joy and gladness speedily in our days.
