... בנוגע למ"ש בעניני החינוך. הנה:
א) בודאי לא היתה כוונתי, שכל החינוך ימסר לאנשים דתים, אלא רק אלו הבת"ס של זרמים הדתים.
ב) כן לא היתה כוונתי שהחינוך ימסר לאנשים בלתי ידועים, אלא שאדרבה, יתעסקו בזה דוקא מומחים לחינוך. ועוד יותר, שיוכלו להיות גם אלו האנשים שהתעסקו עד עתה, אלא שיפרידו בינם ובין המפלגה, שלא יהי' להחינוך כל שייכות עם ענינים פולטיים. שבזה סרו הקישוים שמזכיר כת"ר שי' במכתבו.
ג) מה ששמע ממר גלמן שי' - שנושא שיחתינו הי' החילוק שבין בתי ספר חב"ד והמזרחי בנדון הנ"ל, הנה פלא הדבר בעיני למאד, כיון שלא על מדוכה זו ישבנו כלל וכלל. וטענתי היתה - בתוכן ונוסח העתק מכתבי שנשלח לכת"ר, אשר מובן שאין לזה כל שייכות לבתי ספר ההולכים בזרם בלתי מפלגתי (של חב"ד).

... Regarding what you wrote about educational matters. So: a) Certainly it was not my intention that all education should be handed over to religious people, but only those schools belonging to the religious streams. b) Likewise, it was not my intention that education should be entrusted to unknown individuals; on the contrary, those involved should specifically be experts in education. Furthermore, even those who have been involved until now can continue—provided they separate themselves from the party, so that education has no connection whatsoever with political matters. In this way, the difficulties you mention in your letter are removed. c) What you heard from Mr. Gelman—that the topic of our conversation was the difference between Chabad and Mizrachi schools on this issue—this is very surprising to me, since we did not sit together for such a discussion at all. My argument was as stated in the content and wording of the copy of my letter sent to you, which clearly has no connection to schools following a non-partisan stream (such as Chabad). d) Enclosed is the booklet published for the upcoming Lag BaOmer.
