Shalom u'Vrachah!

I was pleased to receive your letter, in which you share the good news that the Shas has finally been received in your merit and for the benefit of the many who study in your classes. May it be the will of Hashem that your influence expands with attentive students, and that the ultimate goal is fulfilled in them as our Sages say: Lo HaMidrash Ikar Ela HaMaaseh ("Study is not the main thing, but action").

In this context, I wish to suggest something I have spoken about in various places and, thank G‑d, have succeeded with: to establish everywhere a public study session—even if only for a few moments—on practical halachos relevant to daily life. This can be taken from Derech HaChaim by the author of Chavas Daas or from Kitzur Shulchan Aruch and similar works. For those in the southern regions of Eretz HaKodesh, there are certainly also collections of halachos relevant to current practice there.

The great necessity for this needs no explanation; after all, this is truly what man is all about: Es HaElokim Yira V'es Mitzvosav Shmor ("Fear G‑d and keep His commandments").
