Shalom u'Vrachah!
I received your letter from Motzaei Shabbos Kodesh Yisro with the pan (pidyon nefesh), which I will—G‑d willing—read at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may his merit protect us), and surely he will arouse abundant mercy for you and your household for all that each of you needs.
Regarding what you wrote about your distress over not receiving a reply quickly: this worry has no basis. Of course, I too would like to answer all letters as soon as possible, but what can I do? It does not depend only on me; the demands of many matters take up much time, so only a limited amount remains for answering letters. Even then there is an order of priority. However, regarding a pan or request for blessing, I do this as soon as possible; only the knowledge that I have fulfilled it is sometimes delayed in reaching you. Therefore, there is no reason for distress, G‑d forbid.
Your writing—and also news from other Anash—about the material situation of Anash (which is not expansive) troubles me. However, I hope this is only temporary and that soon Hashem will broaden their boundaries in material livelihood and they will also broaden their boundaries in spiritual livelihood. As our Sages say: "Everything is in Heaven's hands except fear of Heaven," which one must do oneself. I also hope that your own material situation will improve—especially since you write that you have a vessel for partnership business.
I was pleased to read in your letter about the farbrengens on Yud-Tes Kislev, the fifth candle of Chanukah, and Yud Shevat. You write that you do not see tangible results from these gatherings in avodah; however, one cannot always know immediately on the spot—it may become apparent after some time. Especially since any matter of mitzvah done even briefly is—as our holy Rebbe writes in Tanya chapter 25—its unity above is eternal forever. When there are farbrengens with a group of Jews present: "For any gathering of ten Divine Presence rests" (and even three or two as stated in Mishnah), this remains above eternally—which is the main thing: eternal connection with Essence forever—especially through Ahavas Yisrael. Through being united as one comes "Bless us our Father," and may Hashem help us all that this month of Adar—about which our Sages ruled "one increases in joy" without specifying how long it should last—may this too be eternal forever as the Alter Rebbe writes, drawing down joy both materially and spiritually.
Warm regards to the entire group and blessings for abundant livelihood very soon.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches patience during delays and challenges while highlighting how every mitzvah act has lasting impact. He encourages increasing joy during Adar to draw down both material and spiritual blessings for oneself and one's community.
