In response to your letter from the 8th of Elul: As you requested, I will read the list of students at the gravesite of my father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m, for a good inscription and sealing for a sweet new year, success in their Torah study with fear of Heaven, and fulfillment of mitzvos with acceptance and joy together.

It is good news that a permanent committee has been established to support the yeshiva in Shepparton. Surely the members of the committee will recognize the great merit that Divine Providence has granted them to participate with my father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m, in his holy work and will devote themselves to their most responsible task wholeheartedly.

Please convey my regards to everyone as a group, and especially to the chairman. My blessing is that you succeed in both communal and personal work, materially and spiritually.

Regarding organizing the management of the yeshiva: The teachers should consult with the elders of Anash there. I request that each member of Anash who is fit to be a teacher, mashpia, or administrator be very careful not to have misplaced humility but should strive with Hashem's help to fulfill their role.

Certainly it is correct that even if it is necessary to add a learned teacher—if he is also worthy in terms of fear of Heaven and his relationship to Chassidus for this position—still, at the head of the institution there must always be someone whose foundation is on the holy mountains of Lubavitch and who received most of his influence and education there.

As for your concern that if he is not local he will not be able to express his opinion fully or it will not be accepted by the community: I have already said many times that in these matters each one of us is an emissary of my father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m; we stand on his shoulders and his breadth. When people feel this—many obstacles disappear, including opposition or slander. As explained regarding tests (which differs from clarifications).

It is understood that "breadth" does not mean putting someone else down but rather an inner strength and firm resolve that ultimately must—and will—fulfill the Rebbe's (who sent them) will. Then words spoken gently are heard and effective.

May Hashem grant each one of us to align with truth in fulfilling our mission.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that true leadership requires both humility and inner strength rooted in Chassidus. Success comes when one fulfills their mission as an emissary with dedication, clarity, and connection to Lubavitch values.
