מכתבו מט' לחדש הרחמים בעתו נתקבל ותודה ל[א]ל על שמודיע בשורה טובה שחזר לבריאותו. כן יתן ה' וכן יוסיף אשר יהי' בריא ושלם, וכמו שכתב הרמב"ם הל' דעות ריש פרק ד', אשר בריאות הגוף מדרכי השם הוא, וישב נכון על כסא רבנותו ויוכל לנהל עדתו על התורה ועל העבודה ועל גמילות חסדים, עד ביאת ינון, במהרה בימינו ממש.
תקותי להשם יתברך אשר יעלה בידינו, פירוש ביד כת"ר ובידינו אנו מכאן, לעסוק בהפצת התורה ביראת שמים במחנו הטהור, ועל יסוד מרז"ל הבא לטהר מסייעין לו, וכשמקדשין מעט מלמטה מקדשין הרבה מלמעלה. בטחוני שאור התורה והמאור שבתורה ילך הלוך ואור, עד שנזכה כולנו לקיום היעוד ולילה כיום יאיר.

Your letter from the 9th of the Month of Mercy was received in due time. Thank G‑d for sharing good news that you have returned to health. May Hashem grant and increase that you remain healthy and whole. As Rambam writes at the beginning of Hilchos Deos chapter 4: bodily health is a path of Hashem. May you sit firmly on your rabbinic seat and be able to lead your community in Torah, service, and acts of kindness until the coming of Yinon (Mashiach), speedily in our days.
I hope in Hashem that we will succeed—meaning both through your efforts there and ours here—in spreading Torah with awe of Heaven in our pure camp. As our Sages say: "One who comes to purify is assisted," and "When one sanctifies a little below, much is sanctified above." I am confident that the light of Torah and its inner illumination will continue to grow until we all merit fulfillment of the prophecy: "And night will shine like day."
I enclose herewith the booklet published for Chai Elul; surely you will find it desirable.
I conclude with wishes and blessings for a good inscription and sealing for a good and sweet year—for you and all your household—and may this coming year for us and all Israel be a year of redemption—the true and complete redemption through Mashiach Tzidkeinu. The preparation for this is an awakening to teshuvah (repentance) and acts of tzedakah—both material tzedakah and spiritual tzedakah—as explained in the letter for Rosh Hashanah (a copy is enclosed). Immediately to teshuvah; immediately to redemption; immediately to long good life and peace.
