איך האב באקומען אייער בריוו און פדיון וועגן ברכה והצלחה פאר אייך און אייער פרוי תחי' און אייערע צוויי זין שיחיו, און בלי-נדר, זייענדיק אויפן ציון פון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ וועל איך אייך אלעמען דערמאנען מיט א בקשה לכתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות.
זיכער האט איר געהערט דעם ווארט וואס דער רבי כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ האט געזאגט, אז א ברכה איז ווי רעגן, וואס פריער דארף מען אליין פארזייען און דערנאך, ווערט דורך דער ברכה פון איין קערנדל וואס מ'האט פארזייט, א סאך א סאך מאל מער.
אזוי איז אויך ווען מען טוט, פון דער אייגענער זייט, אן ענין פון תורה און מצוות בכלל, און צדקה בפרט, איז כאטש א מענטש טוט נאך זיינע כוחות נאך, וועלכע זיינען באגרענעצט, ווערט ער געבענטשט, אז דער אויבערשטער גיט לויט זיינע אומבאגרענעצטע כוחות געזונט, פרנסה והצלחה אייך און אייער פרוי און קינדער שיחיו.
איך בין זיכער, אז איר וועט זוכן, און אויך געפינען, וועגן ווי צו טאן סיי מיט זיך און סיי מיט אנדערע אין ענינים פון צדקה, תורה און מצוות, און דאס וועט זיין א גוטע כלי אף אלץ וואס איר און אייער פאמיליע דארפן האבן.
אויך וויל איך אייך בעטן איבערגעבן אייער אנקל... שי', אז לויט אייער בקשה וועל איך עם אויך דערמאנען אפן ציון פון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ און בעטן ער זאל געבענטשט ווערן מיט א רפואה בקרוב און כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה.
בייגעלעגט איז די קבלה פאר אייער נדבה צו לשכת חשאין פון מחנה ישראל, וואס פון דעם פאנד ווערן געהאלפן פערזאנען און אינסטיטוציעס וואס צוליב באשטימטע טעמים דארפן זיי געהאלפן ווערן אן פירסום, און צדקה בסוד איז דאך איינע פון די העכסטע אופנים פון צדקה.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I received your letter and pidyon regarding a blessing and success for you, your wife tichyeh, and your two sons shiyichyu. Without making a vow, when I am at the resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe hk"m, I will mention all of you with a request for a good inscription and sealing for a good and sweet year both materially and spiritually.
Surely you have heard the saying of the Rebbe my father-in-law hk"m that a blessing is like rain: first one must sow on their own, and then through the blessing from one seed that was sown comes many times more. So too when one does something in Torah and mitzvos in general—and charity in particular—even though a person acts according to their limited abilities, they are blessed that Hashem gives according to His unlimited abilities—health, livelihood, and success to you, your wife, and children shiyichyu.
I am certain that you will seek out—and also find—ways to act both with yourself and with others in matters of charity, Torah, and mitzvos. This will be a good vessel for everything you and your family need.
I also want to ask you to convey to your uncle... sheyichyeh that according to your request I will also mention him at the resting place of my father-in-law the Rebbe hk"m and ask that he be blessed with a speedy recovery and a good inscription and sealing for a good and sweet year.
Enclosed is the receipt for your donation to the Lishkas Chashain of Machne Israel. From this fund people and institutions are helped who—for specific reasons—need assistance without publicity; charity given secretly is one of the highest forms of charity.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that our personal efforts in Torah, mitzvos, and especially charity create vessels for Divine blessings. When we do our part—even within our limits—G‑d multiplies our efforts beyond measure. Charity given discreetly is especially powerful.
