במענה על מכתבו מו' תמוז שנתקבל באיחור זמן קצת:
... בטח יש לו קב"ע ללימוד בנגלה ודא"ח וגם משתתף בלימוד ברבים ולפלא שאינו מזכיר מאומה עד"ז. והרי אם הי' כותב ע"ד זה הנה ע"פ פתגם כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ בשם כ"ק אדמוה"צ, היו צוויי נפה"א אף איין נפה"ב שזה מובן גם בשכל, והוא משמיט זה ושואל דוקא בענינים המפורטים באגה"ק בסכ"[ב] וכלפי לייא.
ומה שכותב שהוא בודד וכו' הנה אדמו"ר הזקן מבאר באריכות באר היטב דצדיקא אשתכח בזה העולם המעשה יתיר מבחיוהי אלא שצריך ללכת בדרכיו אשר הורה וכו' כדי לחזק ההתקשרות, ובמילא לא יהי' בודד וגם תסור מרירות לבו שכותב, כי יהי' כלי לברכות כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ אשר ברכו אשר השי"ת ימלא אותן במילואן.

In response to your letter from the 6th of Tammuz, which was received after some delay:
Certainly you have set times for study in Nigleh and Chassidus, and also participate in communal learning. It is surprising that you do not mention anything about this. If you had written about it—as per the saying of my father-in-law the Rebbe hk"m in the name of the Admor tzt"z—there would be two nefashos Elokiyos (G‑dly souls) even for one nefesh habehamis (animal soul), which is also understandable intellectually. Yet you omit this and instead ask specifically about matters detailed in Iggeres HaKodesh section [22], which is perplexing.
Regarding what you write about feeling alone: The Alter Rebbe explains at length and very clearly that a tzaddik is found in this world of action even more than during his lifetime; however, one must follow the paths he taught in order to strengthen the connection. As a result, you will not be alone, and the bitterness you describe will also pass away because you will become a vessel for the blessings of my father-in-law the Rebbe hk"m with which he blessed you—that Hashem yisbarach should fulfill them completely.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that regular Torah study—both individually and with others—and deepening one's bond with tzaddikim dispel loneliness and open one up to receive blessings. Strengthening spiritual connections transforms isolation into opportunity for growth.
