מכתבו עם המוסג"ב בעתו נתקבל. וקראתיו, וגם ביום ה' העבר, על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ. ובודאי ברכם, כל אחד ואחת בהמצטרך להם, לפי ענינם, והשי"ת ימלא ברכותיו בגו"ר על מילואן.
ומה שמתברך שיהיו כלים טובים למילוי הרצונות,
הנה אין צ"ל במרה שחורה וספקות יותר מדאי, כי גם בזה משתמש היצר.
וכבר הי' מדובר בהתועדות פה, אשר אין לשכוח שכל ענין הבריאה (כוונתי בזה אפילו בריאה דכללות, וגם כללות ענין ההשתל') הי' מצד שטבע הטוב להיטיב. ומובן שענין הסיבה משפיע וניכר בהבריאה. זהו - בנוגע להבריאה מצ"ע. וגם במה שמוסיפין בבריאה ע"י עבודה, ג"כ כן הוא, כי כל ההשפעות הן ע"י מנהיג הדור שהוא הוא ראש הדור כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ. וסיפר בשיחת שמח"ת תרצ"ג וז"ל: אלץ וואס דער טאטע האט מיר געזאגט שנת תר"ף קבלתי ע"ע בל"נ, רק בתנאי בחסד וברחמים. מיין גוטסקייט קאסט מיך טייער כו' שלא לנגוע כו' ולא לרחק כו'. עכ"ל.
ואחרי שכל אלו לנו, צריך לגשת להעבודה בשמחה ובבטחון גמור, אשר השי"ת ירחם ויעזור ומקדשין אותנו הרבה מלמעלה, ובלבד שנאחוז אנהאלטן זיך בחבל ההתקשרות בצדיקא דאשתכח עתה יתיר גם בעולם הזה המעשה.

The righteous chassidic one, the distinguished chassidic one, my dear friend, our teacher Yitzchak Zev. Shalom u'Vrachah!
Your letter with its enclosure was received in due time. I read it, and also on Thursday past, at the resting place of my father-in-law the Rebbe hk"m. Surely he blessed everyone with what they need according to their situation, and may Hashem fulfill his blessings in full measure.
Regarding your blessing that you should be proper vessels for fulfilling your desires: there is no need for excessive melancholy or doubts, for even in this the yetzer makes use. It was already discussed at a farbrengen here that one must not forget that the entire purpose of creation (I mean even creation as a whole, and also the general concept of hishtalshelus) was because "the nature of good is to do good." It is understood that the cause influences and is felt in creation itself. This applies regarding creation itself. And even in what we add to creation through our service, it is also so: all influence comes through the leader of the generation who is himself the head of the generation—my father-in-law the Rebbe hk"m.
He related at a Simchas Torah farbrengen in 5693 (1932): "Everything my father told me in 5680 (1920) I accepted upon myself without a vow—only on condition with kindness and mercy. My goodness costs me dearly... not to touch... not to distance..." End quote.
And since all this is for us, we must approach our service with joy and complete trust that Hashem will have mercy and help us, sanctifying us greatly from above—provided we hold firmly to the rope of connection with this tzaddik who is found now even more so in this world of action.
