With this I confirm receipt of your support for the orphaned children in Eretz HaKodesh. It gave me great pleasure—not only your help itself but even more so your interest in the situation of Jewish children in Eretz HaKodesh. Assistance from a Jewish observant community for these children is a double success: the help itself is a physical salvation, and since it comes from a religious Jewish community, it is also a spiritual salvation. This is because when the aid reaches the children there, it is given with the spirit that it should align with Torah and mitzvos, strengthening the bond between Jewish children and their Father in Heaven.
My father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, often said that Hashem never remains indebted; He pays measure for measure but with great increase—as only Hashem can. When one helps orphaned children in our holy land, Hashem helps all donors and those involved in collecting donations with full nachas—Jewish nachas—from their families: children and grandchildren, and also from themselves.
As we approach Chanukah—the days when Hashem showed a great miracle: a small amount of olive oil that should have sufficed for only one night burned for eight days until new pure oil was prepared—so too now, in the merit of Torah and mitzvos that all Jews fulfill, may Hashem help that the darkness of exile will immediately begin to shine with light: first one candle, then two candles, etc., until we reach great illumination speedily in our days through Moshiach Tzidkeinu.
With blessings for good both materially and spiritually.
