Speaking About Sensitive Matters and Delegating Responsibilities

The Rebbe writes that discussing certain sensitive matters can sometimes create issues that would not otherwise arise. Therefore, it is preferable to delegate these responsibilities to someone else, specifically suggesting a woman handle them going forward.

כו"כ ענינים שכל זמן שאין מדברים אודותם בשימת לב

מיוחדה

, אין אומרים שאולי יש בזה צד בלתי רצוי וכו' יש לעשותם – אבל הדיבור עצמו (הנ"ל) עושה אותם לדבר שיכול להביא – הפכו של תועלת. ולכן כדאי למצוא אשה שתתעסק בהנ"ל מכאן ולהבא.

Shalom u'Vrachah!

There are certain matters that as long as they are not discussed with special attention, one cannot say that perhaps there is something undesirable about them, etc.—they should be done. However, the very act of speaking about them (as above) can make them into something that could bring about the opposite of benefit. Therefore, it is advisable to find a woman who will take care of these matters from now on.


Summary

The Rebbe teaches that some sensitive issues are best left undiscussed to avoid unintended problems and suggests delegating such responsibilities to someone else when appropriate.
