במדינה ההיא
. ועכבתי המענה שלי כיון שהי' קס"ד אשר הרב דעיר הגדולה שם יבוא לכאן עם מלווים וכו'. אבל כפי הבירור לאחרונה בטל כל הענין (לע"ע?). ומאחר שרוב העסקנים דשם, ובפרט דהעיר ר. אודותה כותב, נמצאים באה"ק ת"ו, על כת"ר לבוא בדברים עמהם באופן ישר, כיון שהידיעות מהנעשה שם לאחרונה ועם מי אפשר להתקשר וכו' מגיעות אליהם קודם שמגיעות לכאן.

It has been some time since I received your letter in which you wrote regarding matters of agunos in that country. I delayed my response because there was an expectation that the rabbi of the large city there would come here with companions, etc. However, as clarified recently, the entire matter has been canceled (perhaps temporarily?).
Since most of the activists there—especially in the city about which you write—are now in Eretz Yisrael, it is appropriate for you to speak directly with them. This is because information about what is happening there and whom one can contact reaches them before it gets here.
Since everything happens by Divine Providence and this letter is being written on Rosh Chodesh Shevat—which on its tenth day is the yahrzeit of my revered father-in-law the Rebbe—this is an appropriate place to mention this day of remembrance. Surely you are aware of his life's story and self-sacrifice for spreading authentic Judaism founded on love of G‑d, love of Torah, and love of Israel—all one entity—as expressed in the Zohar: "Yisrael, Oraysa v'Kudsha Brich Hu kulah chad" (Israel, Torah and the Holy One Blessed be He are all one).
I strongly hope that all is well with your wife—may she live—and may it be G‑d's will that her recovery be complete.
