Regarding the name for your daughter, as you will discuss with your husband. If you do not come to an agreement—follow the instruction of the local rabbi.

In general—it would seem his role (as discussed also in this year's general letter). Her role is only—the education of her children, managing the home, and regarding her husband. Her involvement in public activities will interfere with these matters. It is sufficient—her participation in classes during times she is free from the above.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that a wife's primary focus should be on her family and home, and public activities should not detract from these responsibilities. When disagreements arise over a child's name, one should follow the guidance of the local rabbi.
