במענה למכתבם, בו כותבים על דבר הצורך להדפיס מחדש ספרים מסויימים שברשימתם שהוצאנו לאור בשפה הרוסית לשם הפצה בין עולי רוסי',
העברתי בקשתם לאלה המטפלים בזה בהוראה שיתחילו במילוי בקשתם.
ולפלא קצת שאין במכתבם כל תכנית באיזה אופן בדעתם לחלק הספרים האמורים באופן שיביאו התועלת הכי אפשרית. וכן לא כותבים על יסוד מה קבעו מספר הטופסים, והאם באו כבר במגע עם אלה הנצרכים לזה ויש בידם ידיעות מבוססות בזה וכו'. ובודאי ימלאו הפרטים כפי האפשר בהזדמנות הבאה.

בני אדם שדבר הניתן להם חינם אין כסף ובלי השתדלות מצדם, הרי אין לו חשיבות בעיניהם. ובפרט כשהדבר ניתן בלא דרישה מהמקבל אלא בהתעוררות הנותן. ובודאי אשר הכסף לא צריך להיות עיכוב לנתינת הספר לכל הנצרך לו, אבל ביחד עם זה יש להביא בחשבון גם הענין הפסיכולוגי האמור.
תקותי שבהזדמנות הבאה והקרובה יודיעו פרטים בנוגע עבודת אגודתם בכלל, נוסף על שטח האמור. ומובן אשר הריבוי בפרטיות ישובח.

In response to your letter, in which you write about the need to reprint certain books from your list that we published in Russian for distribution among immigrants from Russia, I have forwarded your request to those handling this matter with instructions that they begin fulfilling your request.
It is somewhat surprising that your letter contains no plan as to how you intend to distribute these books in a way that will bring the greatest possible benefit. Nor do you write on what basis you determined the number of copies needed, or whether you have already been in contact with those who require them and have reliable information on this matter, etc.
Certainly you will provide these details as much as possible on the next occasion.
Although it is understood regardless, I will also mention explicitly: It is human nature that something received free of charge and without any effort on their part is not valued by people. Especially when it is given without being requested by the recipient but rather at the initiative of the giver. Certainly, money should not be an obstacle to giving a book to anyone who needs it; however, at the same time, one must also consider this psychological aspect.
I hope that at the next and upcoming opportunity you will inform me of details regarding your organization's activities in general, in addition to this area mentioned above. Of course, greater detail is praiseworthy.
