בעתו קבלתי הפ"ש מכ' על ידי מזכירי מר ניסן שי' מינדל, שדיווח לי ג"כ על דבר התענינותו ועזרתו הגדולה בקשר לבירור הענין אודותיו הטריח את מר על פי בקשתי בעת ביקורו באה"ק ת"ו.
והנני בזה להביע הכרת תודתי למר בעד העזר והידידות, ובהתנצלות כנה שאחרתי בזה עד כה מפני רוב הטרדות, ואתו רב הסליחה.
ינעם לי לשמוע מכ' מפעולותיו הטובות מחוץ למסגרת מקצועו, כוונתי לעבודה ציבורית, אשר בימינו אלה בפרט הרי זו מחובתו האישית של כל אחד ואחד לעשות ככל אשר ידו מגעת לחזק ולבסס עניני התורה והמצוה בכלל, ובפרט בהענינים והבעיות החיוניים העומדים על הפרק. ות"ח מראש.

In due course I received your letter through my secretary Mr. Nisan Mindel, who also reported to me about your great interest and assistance regarding the matter about which you troubled Mr. [Mindel] at my request during his visit to your community.
I hereby express my gratitude to you for your help and friendship, with a sincere apology for my delay in responding until now due to many preoccupations, and I ask much forgiveness.
I would be pleased to hear from you about your good activities outside the framework of your profession; I mean public work, which in our times especially is the personal duty of each individual to do all he can to strengthen and establish Torah and mitzvah matters in general, and particularly regarding the vital issues currently at hand.
