Shalom u'Vrachah!

I acknowledge receipt of your letter in which you requested a blessing regarding P N from Monday, Teves 2. At an auspicious time it will be read at the Tziyon of my father-in-law the Admor zatzukal nbg"m zya"a.

With blessings for success in our mission. Harag etc. shlita.

P.S. In response to your remarks: a) It is understood that the main thing in activism—especially in our times—is practical action. It is not worthwhile to enter into arguments (which usually provoke competitiveness and 'who is first,' etc., and do not necessarily seek truth). Likewise, it is advisable to avoid debates on matters that the listeners are not presently able to accept—but it must be ensured that this cannot be interpreted as giving approval or agreement, etc. Especially since the time for meetings is very limited.

b) The learning—according to the above—should preferably be in areas relevant to daily life and mostly on topics where women were equated with men and everyone is obligated to know these things.

c) It is obvious that according to Torah law—'the poor of your city come first'—he must continue spreading Judaism in his current place; moreover and mainly, this work in Africa and abroad in general is absolutely critical (due to assimilation, etc., G‑d forbid), unlike the situation in Eretz HaKodesh. And it is clear. I have already stated my opinion many times—that every rabbi or spiritual guide who leaves (in our times) his circle abroad and moves to Eretz HaKodesh is like a military officer fleeing the battlefield during war and under enemy attack. And it is clear.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that effective activism focuses on practical deeds rather than debate; Torah study should address daily needs for all; and leaders must remain at their posts abroad where their influence is most needed instead of relocating.
