As we stand in the days of Chanukah—days of miracles and salvation both physically and spiritually, days of praise and thanksgiving—and as our Sages say: "They too were part of that miracle," referring to the women and daughters of Israel, it is certain that the command to remember these days is so that each person, according to their status and situation, will be inspired and strengthened—in a good way and with expansiveness and joy—in activities similar to those performed in those days at this time. As indicated by the order and placement of lighting the candles—to increase in such actions until even outside there will be light, in a manner of continually increasing light.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that Chanukah is a time for everyone—especially Jewish women—to strengthen their positive actions with joy and to spread light outwardly in ever-increasing measure.
