Shalom u'Vrachah!
In connection with your birthday, I hereby extend my heartfelt wishes for a year of success and blessing both in your personal matters and in communal matters—which are interconnected and inseparable when it comes to a Jew in general, and all the more so for you and your elevated role upon which many depend. May this be with proper health, joy, and gladness of heart.
May it be fulfilled in you and all that is yours as at the beginning of the Tehillim chapter for this year: Elokim Nitzav ("G‑d stands"). May Elokim be with me and guard me on this way that I am going etc., and Hashem will be for me as G‑d—the daily Chumash portion for your birthday. And as it is written there before: V'hinei Hashem nitzav alav vayomer ani etc. ("And behold Hashem stands over him and says: I am..."), see the explanation of my father-in-law the Admor tzt"z in Yahal Or p. — connecting these two verses. In his days and in our days may we merit the fulfillment of the promise: U'faratzta yamah vakeidmah v'tzafonah v'negba ("You shall spread out westward, eastward, northward, and southward").
With appreciation, honor, blessings for long life and good years, and good tidings in everything.
Just now a maamar beginning Padah B'Shalom ("He redeemed [my soul] in peace") was published (from him is the cornerstone; from him is the peg—in understanding the essence of Chassidus—which many have struggled with). I am happy to enclose it here before all else along with my wishes. May you be among the first to receive it with love of Torah and Chassidus.
It goes without saying that my suggestion—and heartfelt request—in my letter for your birthday 5729 remains fully valid; it is regrettable that two years have passed. May it be that any delay will turn out to be visibly for good.
