Shalom u'Vrachah!
I acknowledge receipt of your letters in which you write again about the disagreements between you and your wife (may she live) for some time now, and that the matter is being discussed in a rabbinical court, etc., after previously bringing it before the local rabbi as I wrote to you some time ago.
In continuation to what I wrote to you then: since peace is great in general and especially between husband and wife—as our Sages say: "If they merit, the Divine Presence dwells between them"—and since I have heard that their disagreements are only about Chabad customs and similar matters, you should certainly do everything possible to influence your wife (may she live) with pleasantness and peaceful ways. May it be G‑d's will that the saying of our Sages mentioned above be fulfilled for you: that you merit for the Divine Presence to dwell between you.
With blessing.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that peace between spouses is paramount, even when disagreements concern religious customs. He advises addressing such differences with kindness and peacefulness so that harmony—and the Divine Presence—can dwell in the home.
