It was with sorrow that I learned of the passing of your nephew Yehuda Leib a"h, and I was also informed that the people of the village participated in his funeral. May it be G‑d's will that from now on only goodness and kindness—visible and revealed good—should be upon his family among all Israel.
And since we are approaching the month of Adar, may it be G‑d's will that matters of joy increase in order to fulfill the directive that "when Adar enters, we increase in joy," true and inner joy in both personal and communal matters together.

P.S. Following the conclusion of this letter, I am sending you separately what we have printed for the first time—a manuscript from the teachings of Admor tzt"z on Megillas Esther. And how fitting it is for its time; also fitting is the conclusion of the Megillah: "Vayishletu HaYehudim... nafal pachad haYehudim aleihem" (the Jews prevailed... fear of the Jews fell upon them).
