לאחרי הפסק הרב נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מר"ח כסלו, שהגיעני באיחור זמן רב.
ונוסף על ההפתעה הנעימה בקבלת מכתבו בכלל, קורת רוח גם בתכנו, המראה אשר התענינותו בבתי ספר החב"דיים באה"ק ת"ו בתקפה עומדת.
בפרט שתקותי שלא רק נשארה בתקפה אלא ניתוסף בתוקף ההתענינות,
כציווי
חכמינו ז"ל להעלות בקודש.
והרי זה גם כן מהוראות ימי חנוכה דאזלינן מנייהו –

צ.ג. שי', הנה כיון שכתבו לי שאין ברצונו לקבל התפקיד, הרי אם יקבלנו מתוך גזירה, או עכ"פ משמעת ציווי הבא מעבר לים, הרי צ"ע אם לא ישפיע זה על פנימיות מילוי תפקידו, אף שבודאי ישתדל לקיימו באמונה, אבל הרי לא תמיד המח שליט על הלב, ונוגע זה במיוחד בעניני חינוך, כי לפעמים הכי תכופות המחונך רגיש לשינויים כגון אלו וכו' ובודאי לדכוותי' אין צורך בביאור נוסף.
כאמור לעיל, תקותי חזקה שאין התענינותו של מר מכוונת רק למוסדות חב"ד אודותם כותב, כי אם גם לשאר מוסדות חב"ד, ופשוט אשר גם בזה בעין יפה ובאופן דמוסיף והולך. והרי

הבא לטהר מסייעין אותו, סיוע מלמעלה שאין בזה כל הגבלות.

After a break, I was pleased to receive your letter from the eighth of Kislev, which reached me after a long delay. Besides the pleasant surprise of receiving your letter in general, I was also gratified by its content, which shows that your interest in the Chabad schools remains strong and steadfast.
Especially since I hope not only has your interest remained strong but has even increased in strength, as our Sages instruct us to always ascend in matters of holiness. This is also one of the lessons from Chanukah—that we increase the lights (a mitzvah is a lamp and Torah is light) day by day.
I am writing about the content of your letter to the administration of the institutions you mentioned. Although specifically regarding Rabbi T.G., since you wrote that he does not wish to accept the position—if he were to accept it out of compulsion or merely due to an order coming from overseas, there is concern whether this would affect his inner fulfillment of the role. Even though he would certainly strive to fulfill it faithfully, intellect does not always rule over emotion, and this is especially relevant in education matters; often those being educated are sensitive to such changes etc., and surely you require no further explanation.
As stated above, I strongly hope that your interest is not limited only to the Chabad institutions you wrote about but extends also to other Chabad institutions as well—and obviously with generosity and increasing involvement.
We have been assured: "He who comes to purify is assisted," meaning help from Above without any limitations.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that true involvement in communal and educational work must come from genuine inner motivation rather than external pressure. When one acts sincerely for holiness and education, they merit unlimited Divine assistance.
