In response to your question regarding naming the synagogue in the Old City T U, the main part of the synagogue (the primary place of prayer, the regular location for large gatherings, etc.) should be called Beit HaKnesset Tzemach Tzedek – Chabad in Jerusalem HaAtikah T U.
For the second part of the synagogue (such as a second room – Chabadnitzah, an upper floor, etc.), it should retain its previous name (since, as you wrote, it seems that the person whose name was added to this part invested money in its construction, etc.).
