בנועם קיבלתי מכתבו מיום ו' בתשרי, בו כותב על דבר פעולות שלו ושל חבריו בשטח חינוך החרדי לבנות עולות – ביחד עם פירוט המצב וכולי על ידי הרב יצחק שי' ליפשיץ, רב פעלים ובעל מדות וכו'.
ועל פי סגנון מכתבו בודאי למותר להאריך בגודל חשיבות הענין של חינוך הבנות, שכל אחת – בת שרה רבקה רחל ולאה. וגם זה עיקר וחשוב שרואני שעבודתם מוקדשת לחינוך הבנות במיוחד, זאת אומרת ששומרים בכל התוקף הדרוש

בנים ובנות בחינוכם. שכל מי שיודע פרק בחינוך בודאי אינו זקוק להסברה ע"ד חשיבות הכי רצינית בהפרדה האמורה, מתחיל מגיל הכי רך, שהרי אין זה נוגע לחיוב המחונכים והמחונכות במצוות, היינו לעונת הבר מצוה ובת מצוה שלהם, כי אם הרבה הרבה שנים לפני זה אשר

וכיון אשר בעניני טוב וקדושה

להעלות בקודש, ובפרט אשר בענינים האלו ככל שיהי' המצב טוב בהוה תמיד יש מקום לעלי' ולהטבה יותר שהרי מקורם ומקושרים הם בהקב"ה שהוא אין-סופי ואין גבולי – התקוה חזקה שכל אחד מהם וכולם יחד יוסיפו חילים בכיוון האמור, שתהיינה הפעולות מתאימות לשם מפעלם "חינוכי-

I received your letter from the 6th of Tishrei with pleasure, in which you write about your activities and those of your colleagues in the field of Chareidi education for immigrant girls—along with a detailed description of the situation by Rabbi Yitzchak sh"y Lifshitz, a man of many deeds and fine character traits, etc.
Based on the style of your letter, it is certainly unnecessary to elaborate on the great importance of educating girls—each one being a daughter of Sarah, Rivkah, Rachel, and Leah. It is also essential and significant that I see your work is dedicated specifically to girls' education; that is to say, you strictly maintain the necessary separation between boys and girls in their education. Anyone knowledgeable in education surely does not need an explanation regarding the utmost seriousness of this separation—beginning from the youngest age—since it does not relate only to when boys and girls become obligated in mitzvos (i.e., at their Bar or Bas Mitzvah), but rather many years before that. The habits formed by a young boy or girl from then become their nature for years to come, etc., and this is easily understood.
Since in matters of goodness and holiness we are commanded to always ascend higher—and especially in these matters where no matter how good things are now there is always room for further improvement since their source is connected to the Holy One Blessed be He Who is infinite and without limitation—the strong hope is that each one individually and all together will increase their efforts in this direction. The activities should be fitting for their educational-Chareidi purpose; meaning not to suffice with fulfilling mitzvos—including the mitzvah of education—as mere routine practice but rather out of awe to fulfill the commandments of the Holy One Blessed be He with alacrity, beauty, and joy—especially the work of education which our Sages said is "the work of Hashem."
With honor and blessing for good news in all mentioned above and with wishes for a sealing and final sealing for good.
