In response to your letter, in which you mention that you forgot, etc. You should become proficient in the laws of tefillin that are relevant to you (and not regarding writing tefillin, etc.), as well as in Chassidus discourses that discuss matters of tefillin [these can be found in Likkutei Torah, in the Siddur with Chassidus, Derech Mitzvosecha, etc.].
It is understood that this is in addition to regret for the past and a good resolution for the future.
Certainly you are keeping up with the three daily study portions of Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya as is well known. It is also appropriate that your tefillin should be checked if they have not been examined within the last twelve months.
