It was pleasant to receive the news that the members of the Shas and Mishnayot Society of the synagogue are organizing a gathering to mark your ten years serving as the community rabbi. May it be G‑d's will that you continue in every sense of this title—as a true community rabbi—by ensuring that the place remains a host for Torah, imbued with awe of Hashem and love of Hashem. These are the roots for all 365 prohibitions and 248 positive commandments, from which true fulfillment of mitzvot flows. May you increase in spreading study of our Torah—the Torah of life—both its revealed aspects and its inner dimension, following the lesson of these days of Chanukah: to add light each day in both mitzvah (the candle) and Torah.
