ראו של קארנעל אוניברסיטה גילתה הסיבה למחלת העור סאראיאסיס, שהיא באה מחמת אלרגי' לטאורין העוברת בירושה; ושלכן הטיפול במחלה האמורה הוא להקטין מידת הטאורין של החולה ע"י מיעוט אכילת מאכלים המכילים טאורין, בעיקר בשר ודגים.
וכיון שבעבר שלחתי לכ' שני אנשים שסבלו מחלה האמורה, ת"ח מראש אם יודיע לי חוו"ד על דבר הנ"ל ואם משתמשים בטיפול האמור.

P.S. On this occasion, I would like to know if there is substance to the report that Dr. Dafna A. Rao of Cornell University has discovered the cause of the skin disease psoriasis—that it comes from an allergy to taurine that is inherited; therefore, the treatment for this disease is to reduce the patient's taurine intake by limiting foods containing taurine, mainly meat and fish. Since in the past I referred two people suffering from this disease to you, I would appreciate it if you could inform me of your opinion on this matter and whether this treatment is being used.
