כמנהג ישראל לקשר הענינים עם עניני דיומא, וכיון שמכתבו הגיע בימי החנוכה, הרי מהוראות נר חנוכה להיות מוסיף והולך בנר ואור, וכמבואר בכמה מקומות נר חנוכה הוא סמל נר מצוה ותורה אור וגם נר ה' נשמת אדם, שכל המוסיף בנר מצוה ואור תורה מוסיפין לו בכל המצטרך לו מנפש ועד בשר גם יחד.
ועל פי כתבו על דבר גזע צור מחצבתו, האריכות בהאמור לדכוותי' בודאי אך למותר.

I hereby gratefully acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 20th of Kislev as well as the books you published. Certainly, if you have additional publications, you will send them to our library, which serves the public good—thank you in advance.
It is customary among Jews to connect matters with those of the day; since your letter arrived during Chanukah, there is a lesson from the Chanukah lights: one must always increase in light and illumination. As explained in many places, the Chanukah candle symbolizes 'Ner Mitzvah v'Torah Or' (a mitzvah is a candle and Torah is light) as well as 'Ner Hashem Nishmat Adam' (the soul of man is the candle of G‑d). Whoever increases in mitzvah candles and Torah light is granted additional blessings in all their needs—spiritual and material alike.
Regarding your note about your family lineage, it is certainly unnecessary to elaborate on this for my sake.
