... In response to your question regarding a passage in Tanya—see (the end of) the Ramban's introduction to his commentary on the Torah. It was printed in "Heichal Menachem" vol. I p. 72 and completed based on a facsimile of the letter. The Avrech Ezra Binyamin sheyichyeh: shochet. Additional letters to him—above 5723, and as referenced in the notes there.
To your question: An answer to your inquiry about what is explained in Kuntres Etz Chaim, additions p. 87—why is Tanya different from another book written with Ruach HaKodesh? Since it was written with Ruach HaKodesh, it automatically includes all reasoning and understanding that is correct in itself, even if the author did not intend it.
Summary
The Rebbe explains that works composed with Ruach HaKodesh inherently contain all true reasoning and understanding, even beyond the author's conscious intent. This highlights the unique spiritual stature of Tanya and similar texts.
