Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter—which arrived after a considerable delay—in which you write main points from your life story and your family's history. When you inform the exact names in Lashon HaKodesh along with each mother's name (as is customary to mention in prayer), they will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal-leha nabgam ziya, for the fulfillment of their heart's wishes for good in all matters you wrote about.
Regarding what you wrote about a lack of completeness in joy: it is surprising, for surely you and your husband know that trust in Hashem Yisbarach, Creator and Ruler of the world even now, is a foundation of our Torah of life. Hashem is the essence of good and it is the nature of good to do good. However, daily conduct must align with the instructions of our Torah of life and with observance of its mitzvos about which it is said "and live by them," as we were commanded by the King of kings, Hakadosh Baruch Hu.
Regarding your writing that you desire more children but there is a financial concern—this too apparently results from an incomplete measure of trust. Even though you certainly recite from time to time what has been accepted and passed down generation to generation: that Hashem Yisbarach sustains the entire world with His goodness, grace, kindness, and mercy. Especially since in your case—according to the first mitzvah in Torah (and also according to Torah order; Torah it is)—you are obligated to have children etc., and this mitzvah and request from Hashem is as Chazal phrase it: "I only ask according to their ability."
I hope that these few lines will suffice to clarify the situation as it truly is so that with a little contemplation you will come to decide to act accordingly—with joy and gladness of heart.
It would be appropriate for your husband to have his tefillin checked; every weekday before putting them on he should set aside some coins for tzedakah. You should maintain the fine custom of Jewish women to give tzedakah before lighting candles every Friday afternoon and before Yom Tov.
Blessings for good news in all mentioned above.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that complete trust in Hashem brings true joy and removes anxiety over material concerns such as finances when having more children. He encourages practical steps like giving tzedakah and maintaining mitzvah observance as pathways toward blessing.
