נהניתי לקבלת הידיעה מהרה"ח אי"א נו"נ בעל מדות ורב פעלים מו"ה מנחם שמואל דוד שי' הלוי רייטשיק, על דבר השתתפותו בהתועדות יום בשורה ויום הגאולה י"ט כסלו, התועדות חסידותית, וגם ע"ד נדבת לבבו הט', נתינת צדקה בפועל על חשבון הבטחתו מזמן לפנים.
ויעזרהו השי"ת שיוכל לקיים הבטחתו במדה המלאה ועוד קודם שמשער, והובטחנו הבא לטהר מסייעין אותו, ובפרט שהנ"ל הי' בהתועדות כהאמורה, וידועים דברי רבנו הזקן, ע"ד הפסקא אשר משמי שמיא נחיתא בטל אורות בגזרת עירין קדישין בסוד החבריא קדישא תלמידי רבנו הקדוש, דאס וואס עס קען אויפטאן א חסידישער פארבריינגען קען מלאך מיכאל ניט אויפטאן.
ובפרט שענין י"ט כסלו קשור בפדה בשלום נפשי...

I was pleased to receive the news from Haraha"ch iy"a nu"n, a man of good character and many accomplishments, Moreinu HaRav Menachem Shmuel David HaLevi Reitchik, regarding your participation in the farbrengen on the day of good tidings and redemption, Yud Tes Kislev—a chassidic gathering—and also about your generous heart's donation, giving tzedakah in practice as part of your earlier pledge.
May Hashem help you to fulfill your pledge in full measure and even sooner than you expect. We have been assured: "One who comes to purify is assisted," especially since this took place at such a farbrengen. The words of our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe are well known regarding the statement: "From Heaven it was decreed by the holy council of the holy fellowship of our holy teacher that what a chassidic farbrengen can accomplish even the angel Michael cannot accomplish." Especially since Yud Tes Kislev is connected with "Padeh b'Shalom Nafshi" (He has redeemed my soul in peace)...
