על ידי הנהלת ישיבת תומכי-תמימים בלוד קבלתי פ"ש מאחיו וממנו, ובפרט בנוגע עזרתם לישיבה. ומובן שבענין של מצוה אין צורך בנתינת תורה במיוחד, שהרי המצוה עצמה כולה אומרת תודה. עם כל זה רצוני להביע קורת רוחי מהעזר שלהם להישיבה, המראה שגזע צור מחצבתם חי ופועל אצלם.
ויהי רצון אשר כהוראת ימי חנוכה שמוסיפין בהם באור מיום ליום, והרי אור אמתי הוא נר מצוה ותורה אור, יהי' כן בכל עניניהם, לרבות בריאות טובה, וילכו הלוך ומוסיף בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד, ובפרט שהיהודים הם גוי אחד בארץ.

Through the administration of the Tomchei Temimim Yeshiva in Lod I received regards from your brother and from you, especially regarding your assistance to the yeshiva. And it is understood that when it comes to a mitzvah there is no need for special thanks, for the mitzvah itself expresses gratitude. Nevertheless, I wish to express my satisfaction with your help to the yeshiva, which shows that the root and source of your lineage is alive and active within you.
May it be G‑d's will that, as is customary during Chanukah when we increase light day by day—and true light is "ner mitzvah v'Torah or" (the candle of a mitzvah and Torah is light)—so too should it be in all your matters, including good health. May you continue to increase both materially and spiritually together, especially since Jews are "one nation on earth."
