Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from Thursday, and in addition to what I wrote in my letter to the students who traveled from here to there—of course, my words are directed to each one—it is about correcting the past. It is well known that our Rebbeim have instructed that for a yeshiva student, his main focus is Torah study [and when it comes to a chassidic yeshiva founded and led by our Rebbeim, it is obvious that this includes the study of Chassidus], meticulous mitzvah observance in all its details—and prayer with devotion.
Regarding your question about preparations for marriage—you should discuss this with the mashpia of Chassidus at the Tomchei Temimim yeshiva and also find out how this was practiced at Tomchei Temimim [from its time in Russia and later in Poland], and indeed in Eretz HaKodesh there are several who were involved in this matter.
Regarding your question about conduct on the second day of Yom Tov in the Diaspora—it is understood that for all matters of instruction and halachic rulings you should turn to and consult with a local halachic authority from Anash; you can detail all your reasons as you write them, and he will instruct you.
Regarding your question about how to arrange yourself after marriage—it is understood that now is not the time to be distracted by such matters since there is still some time until the wedding etc.
May it be G‑d's will that you share good news regarding all of the above. We are now in months when we were commanded to be joyful; this is not one of the statutes of the Torah but rather a mitzvah with an understandable reason—meaning there is a cause and especially great reason leading to increased joy.
Awaiting good news from you.
P.S. Your letter from 29 Adar II was received (and it is surprising how much you are agitated etc.)—and it is clear that what you wrote about not wanting to argue with so-and-so is absolutely correct. Next time you should say (obviously politely and respectfully but clearly) that you are staying in Eretz HaKodesh for now—as an internal student at Tomchei Temimim. As in every yeshiva—and especially at Tomchei Temimim—your conduct, daily schedule (including free times from learning in the zal etc., including Shabbat and the month of Nissan), and certainly your studies—all depend on and must follow the instructions of the yeshiva administration. Therefore there is no benefit in debating with you (especially since you want to maintain your relationship)—and he should turn only to the administration. Until you receive instruction from them—your conduct should be like all other students of the yeshiva.
Summary
The Rebbe guides students to focus on Torah study, mitzvah observance, consulting appropriate authorities for personal matters or halachic questions, and maintaining joy during these special months. Personal conduct should always align with yeshiva administration directives.
