Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter from the 25th of Teves, in which you write about your mood and general situation.

In such cases, it is well-known advice to engrave in one's mind the concept of Divine Providence, which is a fundamental of our faith and our holy Torah, the Torah of life. Especially as explained at length in Chabad Chassidus: Divine Providence applies to every individual and down to the smallest details. Since the Holy One, blessed be He, is the essence of good and it is the nature of good to do good, this negates any possibility for worry or sadness. As expressed in the pleasant words of the Sweet Singer of Israel: 'Hashem li lo ira' (Hashem is with me; I will not fear), 'Hashem ro'i lo echsar' (Hashem is my shepherd; I shall not lack). In particular, you have seen and continue to see G‑d's kindness in actuality—blessed by Hashem with a husband and delightful children, etc.—and furthermore you have merited and succeeded in having a share and participating in education according to the purity of holiness, drawing the hearts of Jewish children closer to our Father in Heaven. It is known that the Baal Shem Tov said that G‑d's love for every Jewish man and woman is incomparably greater than that of elderly parents for their only child born to them in their old age.

Since a person must act naturally within what depends on them—and it can be said that one's mood may also be connected with some general weakness in health—it would be appropriate to consult a doctor about this and follow his instructions.

With blessings for success in your sacred work mentioned above as well as managing your home—which is also sacred work and depends mainly on the woman, the mainstay of the home—and may you have only good news with joy and gladness of heart.

With blessing,
In the name of His Honor, our Rebbe shlit"a,
Secretary
