פארשטענדליך אז דאס איז איז ניט ריכטיג צו טאן אזוי און ווי מערערע מאל ערקלערט בתורתנו תורת חיים, אז א תלמיד פון א ישיבה און בפרט פון א חסידות'שע ישיבה, דארף פאלגען דעם ראש ישיבה און די הנהלה, אויב אפילו בא עם קומט אויס אנדערש, און ער פארשטייט ניט אינגאנצען, דעם פארזאג זייערען,
און ס'איז דאך קיין וואונדער ניט, ווארום דער יצר הרע, וועט ניט קומען צו א אידען זאגען עם גלייך באם אנהויב, טו פארקערט פון שולחן ערוך, ווארום מ'וועט דאך עם ניט פאלגען, אבער אז ער זאגט, אז דער תלמיד פארשטייט מער פון ראש ישיבה, קען ער אזוי ארום אריינארן דעם תלמיד, אז ער זאל פאלגען עם, דעם מלך זקן וכסיל.
איך האף אז ס'איז איבעריג צו מאריך זיין אין דעם, און ווען דו וועסט באקומען דעם בריף, וועסט דו ענדערן דיין שטעלונג, און וועסט נעמען אויף זיך צו אויספאלגען אלע די אנווייזונגען פון דער הנהלה, און דער עיקר לערנען בהתמדה ושקידה לויט די סדרים פון דער ישיבה און די כתה צו וועלכער מ'וועט דיר צושטעלען, און ווי געזאגט דורך לערנען בהתמדה ושקידה וועסט דו שטייגען פון כתה צו כתה, ווי די הבטחה פון חכמנו ז"ל, יגעת ומצאת.

In response to your letter from the 24th of Teves in which you write about the difficulties in the Yeshiva Tomchei Temimim in [location omitted] and what the administration told you and that you did not want to obey. It is clear that this is not correct to do so, as has been explained many times in our Torah, a Torah of life: a student in a yeshiva—especially a chassidic yeshiva—must follow the Rosh Yeshiva and the administration, even if things turn out differently for him or he does not fully understand their instructions. This is not surprising, because the yetzer hara will not come to a Jew at first and tell him outright to act contrary to Shulchan Aruch, since he would not listen. But if it tells him that he understands more than the Rosh Yeshiva, it can thus mislead the student so that he follows it—the "old and foolish king."
I hope it is unnecessary to elaborate on this further, and when you receive this letter you will change your attitude and accept upon yourself to follow all instructions from the administration. Most importantly, you should study with diligence and perseverance according to the schedule of your yeshiva and in whichever class they assign you. As mentioned, by studying with diligence and perseverance you will advance from class to class as promised by our Sages of blessed memory: "Yagata u'matzata" (You have labored and found success).
Certainly you are keeping up with the three daily study portions of Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya as is customary.
