און האפענטליך ווייסט איר, אז דאס איז דער טאג יארצייט הילולא פון רבנו הזקן, בעל התניא והשולחן ערוך, וועלכער האט זיך מוסר נפש געווען אויף אידישקייט תורה ומצות, און ניט נאר בהנוגע צו זיך, וואס ניט אין דעם איז זיין גרויסקייט, נאר צו פארשפרייטען דאס צו יעדער איינען און איינער וואו מ'קען נאר צוקומען, או האט אויך איבערגעגעבען, אז אזוי דארפען זיך פירען די אלע צו וועמען עס גרייכט זיין רוף, דורך לייענען אין זיינע ספרים ומאמרים אדער דורך זיינע תלמידים, וואס דברי צדיקים זיינען שטאנדהאפטיג אייביג און וואס נאך מער, זיי גיבען אויך די כחות, אז ס'זאל אנקומען גרינג דאס אויספילען זייער רוף בקשה און אנזאג.
און זיכער פארשטייט איר, אז ניט צוליב סתם דרשה, איז געמיינט מיין שרייבען, נאר ווי דער לשון המדינה, צום פאינט, בהנוגע צו מעשה בפועל, סיי אליין און סיי בנוגע צו די מיט וועלכע מ'קומט אין בארירונג, וק"ל.
צו מאריך זיין אין דעם ענין וואס איך האב געשריבען אין מיין פאריגען בריף, רעכין איך אז ס'איז ניט נויטיג, און בייגעלייגט איז א אבשריפט פון בריף געשריבען צו איינטיילנעמער אין א י"ט כסלו התועדות, וואס האפענטליך וועט דאס ערגענצען דאס געשריבענע אין מיין פריערדיקען בריף, און ווי אויבען געזאגט, צום פאינט צו.

I acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 24th of Teves. Hopefully you know that this is the yahrzeit hilulah day of our Master the Elder Rebbe, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch, who devoted himself with self-sacrifice for Judaism, Torah and mitzvos—not only regarding himself (for this is not his true greatness), but to spread this to every single person wherever one can reach. He also transmitted that all those whom his call reaches—whether through reading his books and discourses or through his students—should conduct themselves likewise, for the words of tzaddikim are enduring and eternal. Moreover, they also grant the strength to easily fulfill their call, request, and instruction.
And surely you understand that my writing is not meant as a mere sermon; rather, as in the language of the land—to the point—regarding practical action: both personally and concerning those with whom one comes into contact. This is clear.
To elaborate further on what I wrote in my previous letter I consider unnecessary. Enclosed is a copy of a letter written to a participant in a Yud-Tes Kislev farbrengen, which will hopefully supplement what was written in my earlier letter—and as stated above—to the point.
