במענה על מכתבו פ"נ, שיקרא בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, ותוכנו, שקבל מכתב ממדינתנו לפנים, מבקשים סמי רפואה, ולאחרי החקירה ודרישה כאן, נתודע להם, שבהיות סממנים אלו חריפים, אי אפשר לתת אותם מבלי ראות את החולה.
והנה כבר היו כמה מקרים כאלו, והנהוג בכגון דא, אשר ביחד עם הסממנים שולחים לשם ג"כ החוברת המבארת אופני ההשתמשות בסממנים אלו, ובאיזה מקרים מתאימים הם ביותר, אשר חוברת כזו יכול להשיג רופא מכיר וידיד שלהם אצל הפאבריק המייצרת סממנים אלו, או ע"י הירחונים של אגודת הרופאים וכיו"ב. ובודאי מכירים הם כמה רופאים במחנם עתה, ועל ידם יוכלו להשיג כל הנ"ל ולשלוח ביחד עם הסממנים.
ועוד זאת למודעי, אשר כמה מירחונים אלו מתקבלים גם במדינתנו לפנים, ואם עם סממני הרפואות ששולחים יכתבו באיזה חוברת מהן מדובר ע"ד סממנים אלו, יש מקום לומר שהרופא שם יוכל להשיג את החוברת. אבל מובן שטוב יותר לשלוח גם החוברת מכאן, ויהי רצון שיבשר טוב בטוב הנראה והנגלה בכל האמור.

In response to your letter and the pan (pidyon nefesh), which will be read at an auspicious time at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, you wrote that you received a letter from our former country requesting medical remedies. After investigation here, it was found that since these remedies are potent, they cannot be given without seeing the patient.
There have already been several such cases, and the common practice is to send along with the remedies a booklet explaining how to use them and in which cases they are most appropriate. Such a booklet can be obtained by a doctor who is familiar and friendly with them from the factory producing these remedies or through medical association journals and similar sources.
Certainly they know several doctors in their current camp, and through them they can obtain all of the above and send it together with the remedies.
Additionally, let it be known that some of these journals are also received in our former country (Russia). If when sending the medical remedies they specify in which booklet these remedies are discussed, there is reason to believe that the doctor there will be able to obtain the booklet. However, it is clearly better to send the booklet from here as well.
May it be G‑d's will that you share good news—good that is visible and revealed—in all of the above.
