In response to your letter from the 25th of Nissan, I was pleased to read that your efforts have succeeded in ensuring that you remain in your place for now, and thus you will all be together. Surely, even though this is not explicitly written, you will have all the merits that were promised to you when you first settled in Kfar Chabad.

2) The time has already come to strive to increase the number of settlers in the village from among other Anash and those close to Anash in spirit who are in Eretz HaKodesh (the Holy Land), especially among young married couples, as well as from among the youth who, for various reasons, are not able to study all day in Yeshivas Tomchei Temimim. However, it is possible to obligate them and grant them merit by having them learn for some hours and by living a life surrounded by a Chassidic Chabad environment throughout the day and night. In connection with the housing shortage prevailing in Eretz HaKodesh, there is hope that they will be able to choose the best from among those who wish to settle in the village...

Whether we want it or not, we are filling the place of Chabad chassidim of previous generations up until the generation of knowledge—the chassidim of our Rebbe the Alter Rebbe, founder of Chabad teachings—and generation after generation paved our way so that nothing remains for us but to complete "the small vessels." On the other hand, upon us and our generation lies the duty to finish refining matters of Ikvesa d'Meshicha (the footsteps of Moshiach) and draw down the revelation of Moshiach below ten handbreadths into this physical world. Even a brief contemplation on these matters should bring one to tremble with awe—that all these awesome matters mentioned by our Sages regarding Moshiach and his revelations—especially as explained in Chassidus—all depend on our own service...
