ותמיהני השאלה בענין ברור כזה, שבטח שצ"ל באחת הישיבות תומכי תמימים, כפי שנוח לפניו, אם במאנטרעאל או בנויארק, ואפשר טוב שיחקור בשני המקומות לדעת מה מתאים יותר לפניו.
להזכרתו ע"ד הקישוים לקחת על עצמו עוד הוצאות - בטח בזכרו המס"נ שהי' במדינתו לפנים לכאו"א שהבנים ילכו בדרך הישר של יהדות וחסידות, אף שקשור הי' לא רק בכסף ועניני בריאות כי אם עד מסירת נפש ממש ר"ל, מה ערך הוא לזה הקישוים בכסף, בשביל החינוך הנוגע למשך כל ימי החיים.
ובפרט שכל ישראל מאמינים בני מאמינים בתורתנו הק' תורת חיים, שאחת ההוראות שלה, שלהוצאות בניו לתלמוד תורה נותנים לזה מלמעלה ביחוד (ביצה ט"ז ריש ע"א) וכמאמר רז"ל שם, אם הוסיף מוסיפין לו.

After a pause, I received your letter from before Rosh Chodesh Tammuz, in which you write about how your son should continue his studies... may he live.
I am surprised by the question on such a clear matter: certainly he should be in one of the Tomchei Temimim yeshivas, whichever is more convenient for him—whether in Montreal or New York. It may be good to investigate both places to see which suits him better.
Regarding your mention of the difficulties in taking on additional expenses—surely you remember the self-sacrifice that existed in your country previously for every individual so that their children would go in the upright path of Judaism and Chassidus. This was not only connected to money and health matters but even reached actual self-sacrifice, G‑d forbid. What significance do financial difficulties have compared to this when it comes to education that affects one's entire life?
Especially since all Jews are believers, descendants of believers, in our holy Torah—the Torah of Life—which teaches that for expenses related to one's children's Torah study, special provision is given from Above (Beitzah 16a top). As our Sages say there: if one adds [to these expenses], they add for him.
I hope you are taking a truly possible part in spreading the wellsprings outward; this too is a channel and vessel for receiving Hashem's blessing in all needs.
