בהנוגע להבחור... שי' בודאי ימצא כמה ידידים שידברו עם הנ"ל פעם וכמה פעמים דברים היוצאים מן הלב שיעזוב דרכו הרעה ר"ל, והרי סוף סוף הובטחנו שלב ישראל ער הוא, אלא כנ"ל צריכים שלא להתרשם באם בפעם הראשונה לא ישמע לדבריהם ולדבר עוה"פ ועוה"פ. וגם מהנכון שמי שהוא מידידיו יפרישו לצדקה לזכות הנ"ל למען ישוב ממחשבותיו. ויהי רצון שכשם שהביא הבקשה כן יבשר טוב בזה.
התקוה חזקה שהוא הכתוב יש לו קביעות בלימוד פנימיות התורה שבדורנו נתגלתה בתורת החסידות, קביעות בכל יום ובהוספה ביום השבת אשר קודש הוא לה'.

In response to your letter requesting a blessing and a pan (pidyon nefesh). At an auspicious time, all those you wrote about will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory.
Regarding the young man... surely you will find several friends who will speak with him once and several times with heartfelt words so that he will abandon his negative path, G‑d forbid. After all, we have been assured that the heart of Israel is awake; as mentioned above, one should not be discouraged if at first he does not listen to their words, but rather speak again and again.
It is also appropriate that one of his friends should give charity on his behalf so that he may return from his thoughts.
May it be G‑d's will that just as you brought this request, so too you will bring good news about this matter.
The hope is strong that you yourself have a set time for studying the inner dimension of Torah which in our generation has been revealed in the teachings of Chassidus—a set time every day and with additional study on Shabbos, which is holy to the L‑rd.
