Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter from the 3rd of Kislev, in which you write about the unfortunate event that occurred in the family of your daughter's peer, and therefore there is doubt whether to hold the wedding at the set time.

It is very surprising that there is any doubt regarding something explicitly stated by the halachic authorities, as you also wrote in your letter about the ruling of a rabbi who is an authority in Israel, to hold the wedding.

Furthermore, it should be added that it is the custom of Israel not to postpone the date of a wedding. The customs of Israel are Torah, especially in such matters as these. This should be understood well.

At an auspicious time they will be mentioned at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, as you requested.

My hope is not only that you will not delay the wedding from the date mentioned in your letter, but that you will advance it if possible for several reasons. May it be G‑d's will that it take place at a good and successful hour.

Blessings for good news in all mentioned above.
